Returned premiership defender Michael Searl has been elected into North Ballarat Roosters’ new-look leadership group. Searl arrived back at Eureka Stadium in November after a two-year hiatus from the club for overseas work and travel.

AFL media icon Eddie McGuire says he would love to see a boutique stadium in Ballarat become a reality in the game. McGuire yesterday supported North Melbourne’s push to bring AFL home-and-away matches to the regional hub.

The Selkirk Roosters have announced their Leadership Group for the 2012 VFL Season following a vote undertaken by all current players last week.

20 teams took to Ballarat Golf Course last Friday to support the Roosters Annual Golf Day. Sponsored by Gull & Co and raising funds and awareness for Support 4 Cancer, the day turned out to be a resounding success. 20 teams played the beautiful course and wonderful conditions with varying levels of skill, but a high level of enthusiasm and energy.
