JEREMY Cameron is the latest North Ballarat Rebels player to join the AIS-AFL Academy.

The Dartmoor youngster was yesterday announced as part of the academy's 2010 intake.

GWS to consider Sewell

VFL STAR Myles Sewell is firmly in the sights of Team GWS as the club prepares to draft its first batch of players at this year's NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
But GWS recruiting manager Neville Stibbard says the North Ballarat midfielder's undoubted talent will be weighed against the club's need for mature-bodied talls to support its young signings.

North Ballarat Roosters hold off dogged Coburg in VFL

NORTH BALLARAT had the win it needed to have in the Victorian Football League at Eureka Stadium Ballarat yesterday.
The Roosters kept a persistent Coburg Tigers at arm's length by 22 points to retain their hold on second position.

However, it was a vast improvement on their unexpected loss to Werribee eight days earlier.
Coach Gerard FitzGerald commended the Roosters on their capacity to handle the disappointment and implications of the below-par performance against Werribee.
"We beat the team we needed to beat."

Timely return for Roosters: Ruckman Stephenson back from injury

ORREN Stephenson will make a timely return for North Ballarat against Coburg Tigers in the Victorian Football League at Eureka Stadium on Sunday.
The VFL's number one ruckman and Big V representative has missed six matches with a broken hand.
Although North Ballarat has had the services of experienced North Melbourne big man David Hale in that time, it has still been undermanned.
Hale has had to share his time between a key forward role and the ruck, leaving teenager Sam Conroy to carry a large part of the workload.

North Ballarat offers ground for Saturday match

NORTH Ballarat Football Club has come to the aid of neighbour Lake Wendouree.
The Roosters yesterday gave the green light for the Lakers to host this weekend's MECU Ballarat Football League fixture against Melton South at Eureka Stadium on Saturday.
BFL ground inspections deemed the Associated Plasters Lakers' home base at Wendouree Reserve ``not ideal'' after sloppy, heavy conditions in a clash with North Ballarat City last round.
The Roosters have a Victorian Football League clash scheduled at the venue on Sunday but the club was confident the ground could hold up.
